Key Austin is a photographer and cinematographer based in São Paulo, Brazil. He started his career with a love of sculpture, finding different ways to create with hard materials in his teenage years. Austin took this love and the ideas that came with it to begin creating unconventional forms of viewing through cinematic compositions. He is intrigued by the containment that comes with video creation for online platforms which inspires him to take a different route giving the viewers an opportunity to think about the details of his creations within a controlled or even unknown space and environment. In the work itself he shares dreamt stories and untold realities existing beyond our own through having a strong emphasis in dramatic lighting and bold colors. Key transports the viewers through a window into another world of unknown surrealist events facing the challenge of considering a new form of narrative.
